Graffiti video from FX Crew, Nasty Boys and more

So it’s Friday, and that means we should relax a little, so here is a graffiti vid from the YouTube archives…

It’s a classic 1990s graffiti video from the FX Crew, featuring The Nasty Boys as they visit Germany, and so many more.

London graffiti – Tunnel under Waterloo graff, Leake St, UK

London graffiti – Tunnel under Waterloo graff, Leake St, UK – Photos were taken in May 2009 by Nick from Musicmule.

They’re too sick, check out the detail.

Like this? Take a look at the sweet sweet San Francisco graffiti photos, taken in Feb 09, or if you’re looking for more London then check this London urban art and stencil art in Old Street.

Take a look at this recent Leake Street post from the Leake Street Graffiti and Art site too, got some great close-up shots and different angles and stuff. Their graffiti site is great, follows the art in the tunnel and has loads of sick graffiti photos.

This is also an excellent set of photos with London uk graffiti from Sweet Toof and Blu amongst others.

What do you think of the last photo, the wild orange one? Do you like the wild style?

Swedish graffiti video – RILO

Swedish graffiti from Rilo (it’s tagged as from London but it isn’t), quick good looking graffiti video, and a nice finish.

I’m slack today, sorry about that, but got a loads of sweet London graffiti from ELMO and some others next week. Take a look at the previous posts, this Old Street London graffiti seems to be loved or hated, and here are a few bits including a sick one from DOME.

Here was a short news story about a Swedish graff man getting arrested…

Graffiti in New York Video

Sorry it’s a bit of a lazy post today but things are hectic, I’ll do my best to be better next week. On the other hand, this graffiti in New York video is awesome!

Looks like a pretty sweet trip - this vid’s nicely put together, it makes a big difference! I have now received my War4 graffiti DVD so I’ll get a review up pronto.

Check out this awesome New York graff, some great and varied photos.

Graffiti in New York – Graff & Urban Art

Here’s some awesome graffiti in New York, stencils and urban art taken March 2009 – from the kind fella Nick from MusicMule. Check out his site for the latest indie music news and tunes.

If you know who the artists of any of these other photos are then let me know!

Back to it – check out this one, works really well with the taxis I reckon. I spent frickin’ ages looking for more information, it’s actually a 2008 homage to the legendary 80’s street artist Keith Haring in East Village, New York. His art is well worth hunting out, this tribute is spot on.

Sweet Tooth/Sweet Toof World Graffiti Art

Brought to you by www.world-graffiti.com.

I’m being a rip-off merchant today and posting other people’s photos because I wanted to just show art for one artist, Sweet Toof (also Sweet Tooth) and I dont have any of my own photos! I’ve credited the people who took the pics at the bottom, or where I got them, give them a visit.

Sometimes it’s hard to confirm if the art that has been listed is actually by that artist, let me know if I’ve got any wrong and I’ll change it up. Sweet Toof’s style is awesome, London is lucky.

Bit of this and that… Amsterdam and world graffiti

Brought to you by www.world-graffiti.com.

Check this, I’m putting the first 2 graffiti photos from Amsterdam because they’re terrible, but I couldn’t help but take a photo. These were on the doors and window shutters of a back street brothel.

Wowzers, Amsterdam prostitute graffiti.

That’s more like it, proper Amsterdam graffiti. Check out the colours!

Graffiti photo taken from a train going to Basel, Switzerland, just to give an idea of the number of murals – it was almost constant like this for an 8 hour train ride. So much graffiti and crappy camera means I missed a lot. But that will change next week.

Nice blues in this Geneva graffiti photo.

Londoners unite – graffiti from the capital

Brought to you by www.world-graffiti.com.

More London graffiti, mainly because I’ve got loads of pictures sat around and I’m in Swissworld from tomorrow on a graffiti hunt…

A crappy graffiti photo of a Banksy rat in Old Street taken in 2006, not sure if the building is still there or not…

This really annoys me, tosssers messing up a great piece of graffiti by tagging all over it, tag somewhere else you idiots! Taken in North London, near Angel tube station.

It was pretty sick before it got messed up…

Another graffiti photo from the Old Street council estate out the back of the Tube station in London. I love the colouring and the fact that it doesn’t have a standard graffiti style as such.

The photo and the graffiti aren’t especially amazing, but I was impressed with where it was done, right next to a North London train platform.

Solveig – The new, female 10 year old Banksy? Eh?

Brought to you by www.world-graffiti.com.

Sloveig

A girl of 10 has been labelled the female Banksy (is that such a great label these days?), she started painting her creations on special legal graffiti sites around Brighton, Sussex, at the age of eight. Her name is Solveig (her first name and tag name). Got to say, I like her style! Has a cool bold look, I can see slight similarities to Blu.

Now I’ve gone and compared her to a legend. Hmmmm.

Ignore me, and check out some of her art, awesome!

Mind-blowing graffiti from Melbourne Australia

Brought to you by www.world-graffiti.com.

Here are some amazing graffiti photos from Melbourne, Australia – a giant piece from MOLOTOW – AFPREMIUM. Check out the colour, it’s crazy. Amazing air-brushed look too.

Check out the rest at Nocturbulous’ graffiti Flickr album, awesome.

More Amsterdam graffiti 2006

Great bit of graffiti from near Amsterdam town centre, on a temporary wall in 2006, SWED NBS?

I like the simplicity of the graffiti below, the symbols in the lettering look cool too.

Amsterdam graffiti 2006 Series continues

Brought to you by www.world-graffiti.com.

More crazy graffiti, from the same place as the DISH piece from an earlier post, you can just see how they linked up. Was just a minute from the main Amsterdam Square, taken in 2006. Any one got an idea of who painted it? Great style.
Saw this artists colours all over Amsterdam, worked well I think. Below is another I saw, I’m assuming by the same artist…

Amsterdam Graffiti MIHZ

Brought to you by www.world-graffiti.com.

Nice bit of graffiti art from MIHZ, Amsterdam Holland 2007.

Amsterdam graffiti 34 mihz, originally uploaded by jameswarren2000.

Wicked graffiti art from Amsterdam, Holland 2007 (not MIHZ). It was right under street lighting so it was hard to photograph (enough with the excuses now). Still, looks great! I wonder if it’s done by the same artist who did the car sketch graffiti

I really like this graffiti from Amsterdam, almost looks like it’s a sketch on the wall.

Blu – World Graffiti & Urban Art

Brought to you by www.world-graffiti.com.

Pretty much everyone knows Blu’s art, but it’d be rude to try and do a graffiti art blog and not mention him.

Italian artist Blu combines an almost child-like and detailed drawing style with a mix of political messages. He uses a really nice mix of line drawing and colour too. Blu’s website is awesome and features a bunch of his wall mural animations and sketch drawings, done using a large scale stop-motion technique, they’re pretty mind-blowing.

In his book you can see a bunch of sketches too, it’s really a great book. Here is one of Blu’s video murals, Muto. It’s been around for ages and has been seen by a gazillion people and I still love it.

I really like is that the politics is mixed with humour and a wicked style.

New graffiti and urban art paintings/murals from 2008 and 2009 from Blu!

Cox18 Graffiti Art by Blu – Painted in Milan, Italy – check out the video of the art below being created.

Check out Blu’s site, or the previous Blu graffiti post on the Cox18 graffiti video.

This Amsterdam graffiti looks like the sort of thing David Beckham would tattoo on his arse. I like it. Cool yellow.

Amsterdam Graffiti 2007

Amsterdam graffiti 40, originally uploaded by jameswarren2000.

A bit more graffiti from Amsterdam, it was on a temporary wall next to a building site so it’s probably gone now. Shame about the weird yellow lighting they had, but you can still see the cactus, nice!

New Blu Graffiti Video – Cox18

Cox18 – Blu Graffiti Art Video

Here is a great new video of Blu doing a new piece, Cox18. Done in stop motion. Top stuff.

Painted in Milan, Italy, Blu says the art relates to the Conchetta Squat (Cox 18) where in January 2009 about a hundred policeman emptied a squat that was occupied more than 33 years ago.

The building was until this point used by many for meetings, dances and discussion groups, and various historical archives of books are kept and shared.

It stands as a symbol of culture in Milan, and there has been a fierce backlash from artists in Italy. Support the fight to take back Cox 18, sign the petition to save Cox 18.
